The sacrificial system is of our own imagination. God has never called for sacrifice in order to atone for sin. Repentance has always been satisfactory. We can stop doing whatever we deem error and be restored immediately without the requirement of 𩸠to cover us. How I see it, consequences naturally come from all of our choices and that is generally âpunishmentâ enough.
Therefore the story of Jesus dying for our sins is not accurate in the traditional sense. He was killed because he told the truth about God. The same way that a solider goes in and we thank them for their service and sacrifice for knowing what they are going into. We should know that death was not the atoning factor. It is overcoming death that should be highlighted. Sacrifice was NEVER a ritual requirement. Frankly there are no ritual ârequirementsâ.
We read much that contradicts this notion in accepted cannon but the truth is plainly available in this grand book of duality.
âYou take no delight in sacrifices or offerings. Now that you have made me listen, I finally understandâ you donât require burnt offerings or sin offerings.â Psalms⏠â40:6⏠â
âYou do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering.â Psalms⏠â51:16âŹ
âWhat makes you think I want all your sacrifices?â says the Lord. âI am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle. I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.â Isaiah⏠â1:11⏠â
âStop bringing me your meaningless gifts; the incense of your offerings disgusts me! As for your celebrations of the new moon and the Sabbath and your special days for fastingâ they are all sinful and false. I want no more of your pious meetings.â Isaiah⏠â1:13âŹ
âThis is what the Lord of Heavenâs Armies, the God of Israel, says: âTake your burnt offerings and your other sacrifices and eat them yourselves! When I led your ancestors out of Egypt, it was not burnt offerings and sacrifices I wanted from them. This is what I told them: âObey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!ââ Jeremiah⏠â7:21-23âŹ
The push for sacrifice is inspired by a desire to rob people of peace and financial stability.
Our power is not activated by sacrifice but by love and faith. No form of penitence is necessary.
